Steve was born and raised in the North East,England UK.Like many of the old bluesmen his early years were church influenced which resulted in Steve travelling to Manchester and cutting his first LP in 1978.With many appearances, radio play, concerts and conferences the time soon arrived for a further gospel album which was recorded in Norwich.
In 1984 Steve moved to the island of Guernsey and again was heavily involved with concerts and appearances.A further album was produced there which was Steve's own project. It was to raise £1000 in twelve months from album sales which was to be donated to the local NSPCC.This resulted with an interview for BBC Radio Guernsey which was played on the main news on the hour! The project was a great success. Steve even worked for the late great actor Oliver Reed for two years and yes, survived!
In 1990 Steve moved back to the UK disillusioned with the Gospel scene and moved seemlessly into the blues, mmm, reminds me of Son House! This resulted in his first blues album in 2004. So if you hear some footstomping, slidin' guitar booming away, pull up a chair, grab a beer and enjoy!
