Slidin' Steve is versatile beyond his widely-admired King of the Slide Guitar persona. He has recorded gospel and other songs, some self-penned, and has several cds to his name. But it is as the slide-guitar blues maestro that his fans in Worcestershire eagerly anticipate his all too rare appearances. He is part of the bedrock of the monthly Blues Nights held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Worcester's Cellar Bar. And any crestfallen wannabe bluesmen you happen to see throwing their guitars and dreams into the trash have probably been to see him a-pickin' and a-wailin'. If he has ever played a duff note, or fluffed a change or a turnaround, I've yet to hear it."
